This gathering honors the expertise and leadership of comisionados while creating vital opportunities for cultural preservation and community strengthening. By bringing together acequia leaders from across the South Valley, we can demonstrate the continued vitality of our traditional water governance systems and ensure that the knowledge sustaining our acequias is shared with future generations.
