¡Necesitamos Voluntarios! | Volunteers Needed 6th Annual Primera Agua Celebración — March 29
Be part of something meaningful - help us welcome the first acequia waters of the season!
We're looking for 15–20 volunteers to help with setup, support throughout the celebration, and cleanup afterward. This is a hands-on way to show up for your community and your acequia.
The celebration includes: An acequia blessing, danza ceremonial, festivities & prizes, and a free feast prepared by Cleo's Blue Corn Kitchen (food provided by the Utton Center).
As a volunteer, you'll help make space for your neighbors to bring their water containers, their friends, and their families to honor the sacred waters that bring life to our fields, gardens, and neighborhoods.

Morning Setup Crew (7:00-10am)
Be the first hands on deck! Morning volunteers help transform the space before guests arrive. Tasks include setting up tables and chairs, arranging the event layout, and helping direct early arrivals to parking. You may also assist with any last-minute setup needs as the celebration comes together. This is a great shift for early risers who love seeing an event come to life from the ground up.

Be the welcoming face of Primera Agua! Mid-morning volunteers help guests feel at home by greeting arrivals, guiding people to different stations and activities, and manning tables like our prize giveaway and community survey. This shift is perfect for folks who love people, have a warm presence, and want to be right in the heart of the celebration.

Help us leave the land better than we found it! Afternoon volunteers assist with post-event cleanup following our free community feast — breaking down tables and chairs, collecting materials, and handling general cleanup. This shift is ideal for those who can't make the morning but still want to contribute meaningfully to the community effort.
