Acequia Documentation Project
with Story Riders

Advocate for Positive Changes

The Acequia Infrastructure Documentation Project aims to create a comprehensive record of issues related to Acequia infrastructure within the South Valley, highlighting areas that require attention and improvement from city government agencies. Through a combination of documentation and photography, the project seeks to raise awareness about the challenges irrigators and community members face and advocate for positive changes in the acequias of the South Valley.

Bike Riding Session

In a special collaboration with Story Riders, we bring you a fun session of riding the Armijo and Atrisco Acequias while documenting the state that they’re in.

This special session is for BIPOC youth ages 12-18 who know how to ride a bicycle. However, a bike will not be necessary to participate. Equipment will be provided and they can keep the bike and helmet at the end! It will be sweaty, but paletas are also included!
