Summary
​
The Partnership Coordinator will play a crucial role in expanding and strengthening the network of partnerships that support our mission. This individual will be responsible for building relationships with community leaders, comisionados, parciantes, local organizations, local schools, and other stakeholders. The Coordinator will also lead outreach efforts to promote our programs and initiatives, ensuring that they are accessible and resonate with our target audience

Duties and Responsibilities

Partnership Development:
-
Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key partners, including community organizations, educational institutions, and governmental agencies.

Collaborate with partners to co-create programs and initiatives that align with our mission and values.

Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with organizational goals.

Outreach and Community Engagement:

Develop and implement outreach strategies to raise awareness of our events, programs, and initiatives.

Organize and lead community meetings, workshops, and events to engage with stakeholders and gather feedback.

Work with the communications team to create culturally relevant outreach materials that resonate with diverse audiences.

Program Support:

Assist in the planning and execution of community-based and culturally centered events and programs.

Work closely with program staff to ensure that partnership activities are integrated into program delivery.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach and partnership efforts, making recommendations for improvement.

Advocacy and Representation:
-
Represent CESOSS at community events, conferences, and meetings.
-
Advocate for the needs and perspectives of local and irrigators in various forums.

Serve as a liaison between the organization and its partners, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.

Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in community development, communications, business, environmental studies, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in partnership development, community outreach, or a related role, preferably in a non-profit setting.

Deep understanding of and respect for local and Indigenous cultures, traditions, and practices.
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience in event planning and coordination is a plus.
-
Knowledge of land and water stewardship, sustainable practices, and science-based approaches is highly desirable.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by community events.
