Acequia Limpia is the annual Spring cleaning of our historic irrigation ditches. Join us in carrying out a tradition in the Valle de Atrisco, when neighbors come together to clear the channels before the spring water flows.

More than maintenance, the Limpia is a living practice of mutualismo: the shared labor that has always bound Acequia communities to their land and to each other. When we clean the Acequias together, we're preparing the way for the Primera Agua while strengthening the relationships that keep this water flowing for future generations.

Volunteers gain more than a morning of good work! They gain connection to neighbors, to the history beneath their feet, and to a stewardship tradition that belongs to all of us.
