Join CESOSS and the South Valley Regional Association of Acequias (SVRAA) for a morning of walking, storytelling, and community learning along the South Valley’s acequias.

Guided by local community members with connections to acequia and agricultural traditions, each Walk & Talk explores the history, cultural knowledge, and current challenges surrounding these living waterways. Together, we learn how acequias sustain agriculture, connect generations, and shape our community’s relationship with land and water.

These gatherings invite us to share stories, ask questions, and strengthen our sense of belonging and shared responsibility for protecting acequias. Whether you have lifelong ties to the South Valley or are learning about its traditions for the first time, you are welcome to join us.
